Meet Lucky. Lucky is a misanthrope. Lucky likes to be alone and look in the distance with blissful smile on his face. If someone appears in his sight Lucky gets annoyed and angry.
Lucky is also nearsighted so he doesn't perceive anything farther than 2 meters.

Misanthrope ("mizantrop" in Croatian) is an Arduino based hardware installation. Misanthrope's main component is a "face" (made of wire and LEDs) which is happy when no one is near and gets "angry" when someone comes close.
Facial expressions (happy/mad) are controlled using a small servo motor. Other servo motor is used for tilting Lucky's body. HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor is used for proximity detection.
